Let's Recap
Review Your GA4 Setup
Remember, to get your attribution data you have to have a key event defined AND you have to link to a Google Ads account.
There are a lot of weird hidden setup features like this that you may want to know about. Use my checklist.
filter attribution data
Your attribution data can't be filtered in GA4, but you can export it to Google Sheets, filter it, and re-aggregate it... I'll admit it's a bit of a pain, but it does give you important information!
The aggregation bit is kind of complicated but I have step-by-step instructions for you in this sheet.
"ISOLATING" Data in ga4 is tough
Use this table to determine the method that's best for your situation.
(Hint: it varies from situation to situation 😅)
create blog_lead
1. Create a new audience
2. Create a sequence where step 1 where the page path and screen class contains "blog" and step 2 includes a conversion event
3. Create new trigger
4. Name event "blog_lead"
5. Check to fire every time the membership refreshes
To see this data historically, build the sequence in Explore.
